Dear readers,
Hi! We are Adrie and Annet (Anna) Oomen.
We are married in 1987 and we have two sons and one daughter.
We are serving the Lord more than 20 years and during these years we have seen that He is really able to turn around every situation. We learned how to use our faith in many situations. Sometimes a big challenge, sometimes we had to start all over again, and sometimes supported by other Christians that stood with us in faith.
The biggest change came when God did a big miracle which was according to doctors and therapists impossible.
When our son was 4 and diagnosed with autism, it was made very clear to us that his future would be one where we were not part of.
Living in his own world, we got all the help to keep us going from the school he went, from the therapists and other people who were in his help programm.However, eventhough everyone helped us and we kind of found a way to keep us standing, his development and behavior came to a point where he was not even away during the week, but also in the weekends.
Needless to say that at home everything came under huge pressure. Our marriage, finances just our daily life. And not to forget, we had two more kids that needed to be raised.
Jesus the Healer
Everything changed when I went to a church where they introduced me to Jesus the Healer ...
I accepted Jesus as Lord but didn't have a personal relationship with Him. I learned to know Him as Jesus the Healer, the Provider, and much more. I learned that the Holy Spirit would lead me in all Truth about my sons situation and even more, that His promises were yes and amen! I learned about covenant and His unfailing love for us.
For more than two years I searched the Word (bible) about healing. I heared the word about healing. Building my faith about healing, and learned to trust God when it came to His promises.
After seeing no change at all, it was almost 3 years later that he left in the morning to his school, in the afternoon he came back as every afternoon.
But when he stepped in our house, he was totally healed!!!!
Since that day autism has never ruled again in his and our lives again, his future was bright from that moment and we thank God every time we see him.
God kept His word according to Jeremiah 29: 11, 12 and 13
For I know the plans and thoughts I have for you, 'says the Lord, 'plansfor peace and well being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call on Me and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear [your voice] ans I will listen to you. Then [with a deep longing] you will seek Me and require Me [as a vital necessity] and [you will] find Me when you search for Me with your whole heart. I will be found by you says the Lord...
As said before, our 20 year time in preparation for this healing ministry has been like gold! During these years we learned how to deal with disappointments. How to encourage, and if needed , how to encourage yourself! And always keep your focus on God - no matter what. So you can always stirr up that joy of the Lord when you need it! This is so needed to keep the peace of God, His rest to rule in your heart.
We learned how to walk in love, no matter what
Besides the support we have from pastor Oebele and Hella, we have a special bond with Kellie Copeland from KCM Ministries in Texas. She has advised and mentored us in so many area's - it is like a shower of blessings!
The first thing Kellie shared with us was, that if you want to have a healthy ministry just do what the basic thing is God desires... that is to walk in love no matter what.
This was one of the BIGGEST challenges ever, but we did it, with the help (much help :)) of the Holy Spirit! We stopped reasoning and just did it, looking at what God forgave us , looking at the price Jesus payed for us out of LOVE...
We had not even the smallest right or excuse to not walk in love...
It is not a question God is asking ... it is a commandment!
.. it's not about us, we can not heal eachother or save eachother.. It is all about Jesus! He is capable to remove every pain, small or big in every area of your life - to ban it our of your life for once and for all! All your hurt.. Not by us, but through us! He took it on Him at the cross because God so loved you and this world! God is love!
John 13:34 I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too are to love one another...
Luke 10: 27 And He replied, "you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself. " So we started walking in love and we gave all our hurt, our anger, our disappointments to God ..
1 Peter : 6,7 Therefor humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God (set aside self-righteous pride), so that He may exalt you (to a place of honor in His service) at the appropriate time - 7 casting all your cares (all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all) on Him, for He cares about you (with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully)

Can you imagine that every time you need advise or a solution for something you hear... time, after time, after time, after time the same answer.. Love and forgive ... It finally dawned how important it is to start a ministry with the God foundation..... LOVE. God IS love..
We are so grateful that Kellie never changed her answer because we were having a hard time with it. She is still very consistent .. walk in love.. The patience she had with us when we came with our arguments was absolutely a Godly patience :)) Until we finally had the revelation!! We MUST walk in love :)
